Here is a little Food for Thought...
A while back we talked about using your imagination to lose weight.
We talked about imagining you in your peak physical condition and
ordering food the way that version of you would. Has is worked?
No? Thinking about how you WANT to look just hasn't worked?
Well...how about how you DONT WANT to look?
I want you to imagine something a little different this time. I want
you to imagine the very worst troubled area of your body - your hips,
waistline, the back of your arm, the rolls, a beer belly, the pooch,
the back-fat, your thighs, perhaps a round face, whatever it might be.
I want you to imagine how these areas look and feel and more than
that, how YOU feel about these areas. How do you feel with your
pants fitting snug? How do you feel about moving to the next size
UP? How do you feel about your waistline expanding?
Now take all of that and attach it to your poor food choices. Every
time you want to stop by your favorite fast food joint, think about
THAT version of you. Every time you feel as if you just gotta have
that junk food, picture your WORST attribute. Every single time
you want to ruin all of the hard work you have done in the gym, I
want you to think about what you DON'T want to look like.
If after you think about what your poor food choices might lead to
you still want to eat it, go for it. That's your choice. At least you
thought about it. However, you might find that thinking about what
you don't want to look like actually changes how you choose, how
you progress toward your goals, and how you look and feel.
Imagine that!
