Here is a little food for thought...

You know it's funny, but most fast food isn't really that fast at all.  I mean...what are we talking about when we say it's "fast" anyway?  It's convenient?  We save time by getting it?  We can eat it fast and on the go?  What?

Let's see if we can figure this out together...
Well typically fast food is loaded with calories which causes us to gain weight, feel sluggish, and move slower...Nope, that's not it.

Let's see...how about the fact that the cholesterol levels are usually through the roof causing plaque in our arteries and slowing the flow of blood to our heart and other major organs...hmmm...that doesn't seem fast either.

What about the convenience factor...I mean at least we are saving time, right?  Oh yeah, it takes about 7 hours to burn a pound of body fat....that's hardly fast.

Oh...I've got it!  You see most of the time the food is extremely processed which causes your blood sugar to rise really, really FAST!  There it is...that's why they call it fast food.  Of course a high impact on the blood sugar usually makes you store body fat, but at least we've got this whole "fast" thing figured out!

Let's start to link some of these Food for Thoughts together...Look up if you must eat out, it only takes 12-seconds.  Eat the bad stuff only if you are at a 9 or 10 on your scale of 1-10.  And realize that there really isn't anything fast about it at all.

Finally, don't mistake FAST for CONVENIENT.  They are not synonymous.  When something is CONVENIENT, it is favorable to your needs.

Application is power,
