Subscribe to the Food for Thought Setting Up Your RSS Feed
What is an RSS feed?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is an XML-based file format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news headlines, articles, web pages, and blogs. In simpler terms, you can get a link to an article right on your web page.
Web pages can be anything from websites that you own or don't own, but most likely will be something like your browser home page (the page you are taken to every time you log in to your browser).
Most browser home pages allow you to customize your home page by adding and deleting content. If you go to your home page, you will probably see an "add RSS feed" button or have a section that allows you to insert an RSS feed. This section will most likely be underneath some type of "add content" section on your home page.
Why would I want to add an RSS feed?
There is nothing better than having useful content sent directly to your browser home page or other web page. This allows information that you want to be delivered to you as soon as the author of the content updates it. It's instant!
How do I set up my feed?
When you go back out to the Food for Thought blog, you will see text that reads, "subscribe to this blog's feed." Once you click on that link, you will be taken to a page that looks like this:
