I Know It May Seem Harsh, But...
Guess Why Most People Struggle?
After coaching and working with thousands of men and women over the last 20+ years, I can confidently say that I have discovered the top 5 reasons why people struggle to lose the weight, gain lean muscle, improve their health, experience lasting results, build positive habits, and live a fitness lifestyle.
1) Although most people desire better health and fitness, have the best intentions, and are fully motivated to start, the approach they take is a short-term plan to something they want to change long-term. To make things worse, there are numerous "get fit quick" coaches, programs, and books out there that sound appealing but don't teach you what you need to know to experience long-term success.
2) Most people self-sabotage because their mindsets don't match their missions. You can want a life where your are lean, healthy, and vibrant. But if your mindset doesn't match the mission, you will find a way to abort the mission every time. I don't have enough time, I'm juggling too many things, I've tried to lose weight and just can't, I'll never be one of those "fit people", it's just too difficult.
3) People are seeking speed over sustainability. We want things, and we want them now. And, of course, fitness falls into this category. The challenge is that speed isn't always sustainable, and the results are most always short-lived. You have to be able to ask yourself, "Can I live by this approach?" If the answer is "no", then it's not sustainable.
4) They have no idea where to start or where to go for their specific needs. Unfortunately all the mass-produced programs out there don't work for most people. Why? Because you are unique and, therefore, require a unique approach - an approach based on your specific goals, body type, age, gender, activity level, likes and dislikes, time constraints, capabilities, sets, reps, lifting speed, and rest just to name a few. We call this "programming", and we all need individualized programming to be successful.
5) Most likely 99% of the time is comes down to lack of accountability. It doesn't matter how on fire you are to start. If you don't have accountability systems in place to keep you on track, fuel your fire, make the right adjustments along the way, build the habits, and create the lifestyle, you experience frustration, a lack of results, and often times wait for the next time you muster up the energy to try again.

X Following Any Fad Diets. The Oxford dictionary defines "fad" as "an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, especially one that is short-lived and without basis in the object's qualities; a craze." Does that sound like a fitness lifestyle to you? Not at all.
X Taking Any Magic Pills Or Potions. It's not that I don't believe in sensible supplementation; I do. But many of the supplement companies out there are making you empty promises. Supplementation should be used sensibly filling in the gaps for what's missing from whole foods, not as a starting point for fitness.
X Guessing Your Numbers. Healthy weight loss and maintenance comes down to an exact science. That's right...science. It's been proven. If you don't know the right numbers when it comes to calories, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and micro-nutrients, you are simply hoping for results.
X Wasting Your Time Working Out. If you don't know the proper programming for your movement and muscles, you could be spinning your wheels. Or even worse, you could be wasting time doing something that gets you undesirable results. With programming designed specifically for you, you will be on point.
X Beating Yourself Up Mentally. Your mindset is just like your physical body. If you put bad stuff in, you get bad stuff out. 2) I WILL REACH OUT TO YOU WITHIN 24 HOURS TO SCHEDULE A FREE ZOOM INTRODUCTION.
Within 24 hours, you will receive an email from me with some available times for us to virtually meet. You simply pick a time that works for you and put it on your calendar. I like to meet people when they are most ready to get started, so we will schedule something as quickly as possible.
3) WE HOLD OUR FREE INTRODUCTION SESSION.
This is just a chance for us to get to know each other and ask some preliminary questions. If we feel like it's a good fit between us, we move forward. 4) WE GET STARTED!
Once we have partnered, I will send you some questionnaires to complete and return to me. The sooner you get them back to me, the sooner I can start your customization. Once I receive them, I will create your monthly workout schedule and meal plans. IMPORTANT: This will not keep us from starting on day 1. This is very much a progression program where we start with small, doable, bite-sized steps that build on one another each week. We will have a weekly plan ready to go on day 1.
5) DAILY MOTIVATION.
Each day you will receive motivational emails from me sharing tips, quotes, stories, advice, and strategies that will get you started on the right foot. Tap into these and use them to get you in the right mindset for the next 24 hours. I keep these short and to-the-point so that you can read it, digest it, and get moving.
6) WEEKLY COACHING CALLS.
Each week we will schedule our 30-minute Zoom session to cover all things YOU - what's working, what's not working, mindset, motivation, challenges, and opportunities. I will combine traditional coaching and directive coaching to help you analyze your situation and come to thoughts and actions that support your journey as well as assign you "homework" for the week to come. Homework is simply the action plan for the week.
7) MONTHLY ADJUSTMENTS.
For as long as you stay with me, we will make monthly changes to your workout plans and meal plans based on where you are in your progress. This is what we call "programming", and it's important for us to make those adjustments to keep your body in adaptation phase. This simply means that your program keeps adding the correct "positive" stress to your body to keep it changing towards your goals.

1) HOW IS THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT FROM ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING?
Online personal training tends to focus solely on workout delivery. Fitness Lifestyle Coaching is a multifaceted, holistic program that addresses the key components of a sustainable fitness lifestyle - mindset, movement, meal plans, and muscles. Each of these pillars is crucial to long-term success, and all of them are necessary. Without even one pillar, the structure will crumble. If workouts are all that you need, online personal training might be for you. If you want long-term, lifestyle change, Fitness Lifestyle Coaching is where you will find it.
2) WHAT EXACTLY DOES "COACHING" MEAN AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT THAN "TRAINING?"
Training involves more of a hands-on approach to affecting and directing your workouts. Coaching includes the same, however, it moves beyond the gym and focuses on goals, strategies, and solutions in your life to support you even further mentally, socially, and habitually. Coaching considers all aspects that impact your success.
3) HOW DOES A ONE-ON-ONE COACHING SESSION WORK?
We meet face-to-face on Zoom to move your forward and build our relationship. We will identify challenges, opportunities, and successes through a hybrid approach to coaching - traditional and directive coaching. As your coach, I will use traditional, life coaching techniques through questions and answers to have you arrive at the actions that will support your mission (coming to these conclusions on your own is crucial to the long-term success). I will also combine directive coaching which simply means I will give you directions and actions I want you to take in the week to come. In this coaching industry, this is what we call "homework."
4) HOW FAST WILL I LOSE WEIGHT?
There is no set timeline for weight loss; everyone is unique. I'll tell you this. I've designed this program to allow for safe and healthy weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week (the kind of weight loss that stays). I've worked with people that moved faster, and others that took a little more time. It all comes down to your willingness to be coachable and put in the effort. I want you to also keep in mind that the ultimate goal is not the weight loss; it's building the habits that lead to weight loss and help you maintain it. If "quick weight loss" is your only goal, this program is probably not for you. If empowering mindsets, positive habits, lifestyle change, and long-lasting results are what you want now and in the future, you've landed at the right spot.
5) WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A LOT OF WEIGHT TO LOSE?
Come as you are, let's identify your goals, and let's set a course for what makes sense for you. Whether you have 10 to over 100 lbs to lose or you just want to be healthier, get stronger, or increase lean muscle tone, you are still welcome inside and still have the opportunity to take full advantage of the program to build long-lasting mindsets and habits that will support you for a lifetime.
6) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REACH MY GOAL?
That is 100% up to you. If you feel at that time that you have built the habits and mindsets to be successful on your own, I encourage you to explore your new freedom. If you feel that you still want the accountability and support you experience from my coaching, then we just keep moving forward together. My goal for you is like no other program out there. I want you to not need me. That's right...not need me. If I've done my job as your coach, I've helped develop an independent, well-informed lifestyler (that's my own word). That being said, success is not a destination; it's a way of living. And we will always need to make adjustments along the way.
7) YOU MENTIONED MEAL PLANS WITH A "FOOD BANK" OF CHOICES. WHAT IS THAT?
Not a diet; I despise diets. They are temporary fixes without choices, strict guidelines, and often recipes with 20 or more ingredients to prepare. They aren't doable, they're a crutch, they create mental blocks, and they are short-lived. When I went down this path, I vowed to create a better way. And I have. My meal plans are 100% based on your goals, your likes, and your dislikes. Each week you will have a bank of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks to choose from. You can eat what you like in any order that you like. Every single meal will be conducive to your goals, so you can just plug and play. And I realize that there is no such thing as perfection, so your plans will include easy recipes, quick-fix ideas, and even out-to-eat choices. Real life choices; that's livable!
8) WHAT IS THE "LEARN IT FOR LIFE" VIDEO SERIES ABOUT?
Simply put - give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. I want to teach you how to fish. That means I want you to learn everything I know for every aspect of this program. Unlike some other programs that withhold information, I want to give it all to you. That's what creates long-term success and allows you the freedom to make choices on your own - educated decisions. But don't worry. You won't have information overload. You've already read that I believe in bite-sized strategies. So while we are covering crucial information, it is provided to you in bite-sized pieces that you can easily digest (see what I did there?).
9) HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU TAKE AS CLIENTS?
Not a whole lot at one time. I don't want to sacrifice the quality and the value for any client. I, therefore, keep the enrollments pretty low in order to give you the attention, service, and value you deserve. Ultimately your success is important to me.
